High-purity isostatic graphite crucibles are manufactured using the Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) process, offering excellent isotropy, high density, fine-grain structure, and extremely low ash content. Featuring superior high-temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance, they are ideal containers for precious metal melting, non-ferrous metal casting, semiconductor crystal growth, and high-temperature vacuum furnaces. We provide standard sizes and custom-machined isotropic graphite crucibles to ensure zero melt contamination and long service life in extreme environments.
Products Describe
Product Overview
Our high-purity isostatic graphite crucibles are specifically engineered for extreme high-temperature melting and chemical processing. Through isostatic pressing and multiple high-temperature purification processes, the internal structure is uniform and dense without porosity or crack defects. Whether used for melting metals like gold, silver, and aluminum, or for demanding semiconductor crystal growth, our graphite crucibles provide exceptional stability and reliability.
Key Features
High Purity & Fine Grain: Extremely low ash content (typically <50ppm), ensuring no secondary contamination of high-purity metals or crystals during melting.
Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance: Withstands rapid temperature fluctuations without cracking, significantly extending the crucible's service life.
Isotropic Structure: Consistent physical properties in all directions ensure uniform heating and resistance to deformation at high temperatures.
Superior Chemical Stability: Resists attack from acids, alkalis, and various chemicals, suitable for complex chemical environments.
Typical Applications
Metal Melting: Melting and casting of precious and non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
Semiconductor & Photovoltaic: Crucibles for single-crystal silicon pulling, polysilicon casting, and compound semiconductor growth.
Vacuum Furnaces & Heat Treatment: Sintering boats and containers in vacuum sintering and brazing furnaces.
Sapphire Growth: High-temperature crucibles used in sapphire crystal growth furnaces.
Custom Machining Services
Beyond standard sizes, we offer professional custom machined graphite crucible services. Based on your drawings, we can perform high-precision turning and milling on isostatic graphite blanks to produce large-sized, irregular, or pour-spout crucibles to meet specific melting process requirements.
Manufacture Process
The exceptional thermal shock resistance and long lifespan of isostatic graphite crucibles are attributed to our rigorous manufacturing process:
Raw Material Mixing: High-quality needle coke and pitch coke are finely milled and uniformly mixed with coal tar pitch at high temperatures.
Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP): The paste is loaded into rubber molds and subjected to ultra-high pressure uniformly in all directions via a liquid medium. This is the critical step that ensures the crucible's "isotropic" properties and high density.
Baking: Long-term high-temperature baking in a protective atmosphere carbonizes the binder, giving the crucible initial mechanical strength.
High-Pressure Impregnation: Impregnation with special pitch under vacuum and high pressure, followed by re-baking, significantly reduces porosity and increases density and flexural strength.
High-Temperature Graphitization: Treated in a 3000°C graphitization furnace, carbon atoms transform into a graphite crystal structure, achieving excellent thermal/electrical conductivity and high-temperature resistance.
Gas Purification: High-temperature halogen gas purification technology is used to reduce ash and impurities to below 50ppm, meeting the requirements of high-purity melting.
Precision CNC Machining: High-precision CNC lathes are used for hollowing and finishing to ensure uniform wall thickness and accurate dimensions.
